The Asset Protection Supervisor for our facility conducts detailed intermediate investigations on all issues including but not limited to Loss/theft, Workplace violence, courier/vendor, Workers compensation injuries. Communicates findings of all investigations with appropriate members of management.
Job Responsibilities:
Conducts detailed intermediate investigations on all issues including but not limited to Loss/theft, Workplace violence, courier/vendor, Workers compensation injuries. Communicates findings of all investigations with appropriate members of management.
Identifies actual or potential occurrences of shrink in all areas of the facility.
Reviews Corporate/Facility exception-based reports, records, and/or systems to identify possible loss of Company assets. Responsible for security and safety auditing to ensure compliance with internal controls and local/federal laws and regulations. Directs the review and evaluation of asset protection systems to include electronic article surveillance, use of closed circuit TV, mirrors, door seal programs, Traccess Trailer locks, card access, and other programs.
Maintains proper operation of fire sprinkler systems, fire and burglar alarms, closed circuit camera systems, electronic trailer locks, and other security devices to ensure effective protection of employees, company assets and physical properties.
Supervises the monitoring of all traffic entering and exiting the facility including secured areas. Conducts periodic inspections/audits of off-site storage facilities.
Conducts individual and group training sessions to educate Facility employees in regards to the Company's and Facility's goals and objectives including the awareness of Asset Protection programs.
Communicates with product vendors, courier services, DEA, OSHA, local Law Enforcement, and local Fire Departments.
Prepares comprehensive, timely, and detailed case reports on all inquiries, interviews, and surveys on which appropriate Company personnel can take corrective action or implement policy changes.
Appears as a witness and gives depositions or direct testimony at criminal trials, unemployment compensation hearings, EEOC hearings, arbitration hearings, and other similar legal proceedings.
Manages Asset Protection Officers and schedules their shifts. Reviews Incident reports submitted by Asset Protection Officers to ensure they meet with department standards.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED and at least 1 year of experience as an asset protection officer or equivalent (such as a security officer, guard, etc.)
Knowledge of Distribution Center and Transportation operations
Knowledge of developments in the security industry that relate to role responsibilities/functions of asset protection
Experience providing training and developing process documentation / user manuals for asset protection
At least 1 year of experience operating asset protection systems and facility equipment
Experience supervising others (training; assigning work; motivating)
Basic experience with spreadsheets, databases and word processing programs (creating documents, entering data, formatting text)
Experience working with security systems, such as CCTV, card access, and fire intrusion alarm systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
